Main
- MIDI Loupe is rebuilt from the ground up and now runs on Linux as well as macOS.
- The monitor shows time, channel, source, destination and readable message names (Note On, CC 7 Volume, Clock, Song Position …).
- Save the event list as a log and open it again later, or export it as CSV.
- Click an event to see its full hex dump, copy it, or save SysEx messages as .syx files.
- New tools to test your setup: a virtual keyboard, a sender for notes, any controller, program change, pitch bend and SysEx, and MIDI routing.
- Filter by channel, message type, source and destination, and search by text or hex bytes.
- Available in 11 languages, with light and dark mode.
Details
- Live view with held notes, controller meters, a message histogram and the MIDI clock tempo in BPM.
- Choose whether note 60 is shown as C3 or C4, and whether program numbers run 1–128 or 0–127.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Cmd/Ctrl+1–4 switch sections, +O/+S open and save logs, +K clears the monitor, +F searches, +C copies the selected event.

- Linux: requires ALSA and a 64-bit system.
